Sweet Baby Gift Tags

Welcome everyone!!
It's Tracey here to share my latest project featuring gorgeous ScrapBerry's products.

We are anticipating the birth of our first grandchild. I recently shared a card I created for the baby shower, and today I have two coordinating gift tags.

I've combined the beautiful In Bloom and The Art of Nature Collections to coordinate with the pink and grey color scheme of the shower.

Here are some close-ups of the first tag:
I diecut the grey paper from The Art of Nature Collection into a doily and clustered gorgeous ScrapBerry's flowers on top. I just adore how pieces of different collections coordinate so perfectly. The sweet bottle cap is from the Winter Joy Collection. I've also tucked in a diadem and heart metal charms as well as chipboard from the Holiday Romance collection.

For added texture I stenciled molding paste across the tag, sprinkled with embossing powder and heat set. The chipboard and charms are painted with white gesso, then colored with a spray mist that I brushed on. The flowers and other elements are dry brushed with gesso to soften the color and highlight textures.

Of course this is a baby tag, so I just had to include a little resin teddy bear from the Kid's Fun Polymer Set. The silver swirls on the background are stamped with the Fairy Tale clear stamp. I tied a bow with ScrapBerry's white Shabby Ribbon with white and beige Wax String at the top.

 . . . and the second tag:
I've used the same lovely ScrapBerry's flowers on both tags along with the Diadem metal charms, however, on this one, I've tucked in a heart from the Floral Embroidery Crystal Stickers Decoration pack. I've also used more of the Holiday Romance Chipboard pieces.

This sweet horse rattle also comes from the Kit's Fun Polymer Set. **Tip** Resin resists water based color products, so if you want to color them with a product like color mist or watercolor paint, brush the resin piece with gesso and allow to dry. Then your color will stick to the decoration.

More mixed media textures.

I hope you've been inspired to grab your ScrapBerry's supplies to create a sweet tag for the next gift you give.

Cherished Jewels Card by Romy

It's Romy here today and I would like to show you a card that I made with the Cherished Jewels collection. I fell in love with these papers the minute I saw them. I love pink and I love everything feminine, so this collection was just perfect for me.

I used different layers of paper on my card in pink, blue, hot pink and soft green. I die-cut a doily and a rectangle from two sheets of paper to add extra interest to my card. The image of the woman was cut out from the Romance & Tiaras sheet.

I further embellished my card with a polymer clock from ScrapBerry's, a polymer bow from the Kids & Fun polymer set, a flair button and two pretty flowers. The lace heart is from a Dutch dollar store.

Precious Memories with Rhonda

Wednesday greetings to you! It's Rhonda here today to host the blog.

I have a romantic inspired page in honor of Valentine's Day to share with you featuring the Primavera collection. The inspiration for this page is a silly photo from Facebook. I found the sentiment on it to be so true and wanted to celebrate the silly that is shared in our relationships. To me, having a great laugh with my loved ones is the best!

To begin my page, I applied a bit of modeling paste with a stencil, then added some mist splatters in coordinating teal, blues, gold and silver. After selecting my paper to mat the photo to, I knew I wanted to have nice texture on the page so I also added a bit of corrugate.

A bit of white chalk ink was applied to the corrugate and around my photo collage to provide a soft distressed appearance. I used a stencil brush to work the ink into the paper with a soft look. After I framed the collage, I knew I wanted to add this technique around the outer border as well.

The white Chipboard Tag Frame in a scalloped oval shape I cut apart and used in opposing areas to help create the visual triangle in my design. A bit of pearl paint was added in coral, mint and pink to blend with the color scheme.

A few details so you can see some of the textures within the layers. I started with the drywall tape, added mist and ink splatters, then the white chalk ink distressing, followed by the washi tape. A few accent die cuts from the papers are added as well.

One last view to show the layers and textures.

Hello Everyone

I created the background with lots of gesso, paints, inks, stencils, stamps, papers and washi tape.
I fussy cut a lot of the elements too from the Holiday Romance patterned papers and even used some of the ScrapBerry's packaging.
