Masculine Valentine Card by Maja

Good morning, dear visitors, welcome to the ScrapBerry's blog today :)

Last week we celebrated St.Valentine's day and I shared a vintage card I made for that occasion. Today I have another love card to share, but this time it's more masculine in style :)

I layered papers and cut out tags from the Words Live Forever collection and placed an art clay heart I made using a mold in the centre. Then I decorated it with a crown charm on a piece of cotton ribbon:

...some Auto Vintage brads, a metal wing and Holiday Romance chipboards:

...and finished it off with a die-cut word and acrylic gems:

I really like the way the card turned out, not too sweet but still showing a lot of love :-)
What do you think?

And here's what I used:
Double-sided paper 12"*12" 190 gsm, Words Live Forever, Moments
Double-sided paper 12"*12" 190 gsm, Words Live Forever, Memos

Adhesive gems faceted 50pcs/5colors Kids’ Fun
Set of decorative brads Auto Vintage
Metal charms set BIG CROWN 28*34mm
Set of wings, white
Set of decorative ribbons, natural, 5 pieces, 1m each

That's all for today, see you later!

Shabby Chic & Romantic Card by Romy

Hi! It's Romy here and I would like to show you a shabby chic and romantic card I made with the Butterflies and Mother's Treasure collections. I really enjoyed mixing and matching different elements to create this delicate card. Let's have a look...

ScrapBerry's Supply List:
Butterflies 12x12" papers
Mother's Treasure 12x12" papers
My Little Star flair buttons
Set of polymer items Kids' fun 3

I used different layers of paper on my background and created a cluster of cut out elements in the middle. The cherub was cut out from one of the Mother's Treasure papers and I framed it with a chipboard clock. I then further embellished my card with flair buttons, fussy cut butterflies and a fabric bow.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!

Vintage Valentine Card by Maja

Good morning everyone!

I guess you know it's St. Valentine's Day tomorrow? :-)
And for that occasion I created a vintage style Valentine card:

I used the Primavera papers with elements of the Holiday Romance and Words Are Forever collections. I layered distressed papers, added a die-cut doily, a clock image and tied a piece of lace around the background:

Then I mounted a cute image of kids and added a chipboard heart cloud as if the boy was whispering some love declaration to his sweetheart:

I also placed a resin heart with the chipboard "love" word inside:

I completed my design with acrylic gems and mini flowers cluster.

Here's the list of my supplies:
Paper Collection Set 6"*6" Primavera 190 gsm 12 sheets
Double-sided paper 12"*12" 190 gsm, Words Live Forever, Stopwatches (1 sheet)
Holiday Romance 10x10 cm Chipboard Elements No. 3
Paper Collection Set Holiday Romance (6*6-170GSM), 24 Single Sided Sheet Pack
Set of roses, For Wedding 1 (resin)
Adhesive gems faceted 50pcs/5colors Kids’ Fun

Do you send or give Valentine cards?

That's all for today and see you soon!

Precious Memories Mixed Media Card with A Furry Little Story Collection by Tracey Sabella

Hi everyone! It's Tracey back to share a new ScrapBerry's project. My dear sister lost her beloved kitty recently. She had Trixie for 18 years, and she was a special part of her family. I created this special sympathy card for her featuring ScrapBerry's A Furry Little Story Collection. The tiger striped kitten on the Yes, I'm a Princess page looks just like Trixie, so was just perfect for this card.

 Close-Ups
This sweet cluster includes ScrapBerry's Peach Gardenia, Blue & White Cherry Blossoms, Skeleton Leaves, Flair Button, Winds of Travel Clock, White Shabby Ribbon which I colored, and a sentiment stamped with the Elegy Precious Moments set.

The kitten looks like she is playfully batting at something, so I added this Elegy Polymer Butterfly which I colored with several shades of art wax. Of course I had to add touches of mixed media with stenciling, color mist, gesso, microbeads, prills and mica flakes. I pulled the colors from the sweet princess pillow and crown on the focal paper.

Grungy Mixed Media Valentine's Day Card by Tracey Sabella

Hello everyone, it's Tracey back with a new project to share with you. Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I don't know about you, but my husband isn't into girly pink hearts, so I really enjoy coming up with ideas on how to show my love with a more grungy look. Here's my Valentine card for him featuring ScrapBerry's fabulously masculine Adventure Awaits and Words Live Forever Collections. I've also used ScrapBerry's gorgeous Silver Wings and a polymer heart from the Vintage Circus Collection.

Close-Ups
The background is a sheet from the 6x6" Adventure Awaits collection. The Memos page from the Words Live Forever collections has wonderful vintage paper pieces along with the  clock that I cut out and layered in the center of the card. The edges are inked to give a grungy vintage feel. The Vintage Circus Polymer Heart was brushed with black gesso, then texture added with mini art stones in soft matte gel.

The ScrapBerry's Metal Wings are a focal point centered with a corrugated heart in theme with Valentine's Day. I have a pulled an assortment of gears, and assorted pieces to arrange around the heart and sentiment. Before adhering, I painted the odd assortment with black gesso. Once everything was in place, I brushed with Rust and Patina Effect Paste, then rubbed with several colors of art wax to bring out the amazing textures. Around the edges I've added texture with art stones, mica flakes, and microbeads.

I simply adore the woodgrain and gear images on the background paper.

It makes my day when I find an old rusty washer laying on the ground. This washer is one of those sweet finds.
