Mechanical Illusions Cards by Maja

Hello everyone, welcome to the blog today :)

There are some collections that I regularly return to - and one of them is the Mechanical Illusions. Perfect for masculine projects (including those painful masculine cards ;)) but also with some feminine motives for steampunk and romantic creations. Here are two more cards I made with these beautiful papers:

This card is universal enough to be presented to a man or a woman. No flowers, but there are some subtle elements a woman might like and that should not bother a man :)

I used the same embellies for the other card, but this one would be perfect for a woman, especially one who likes steampunk :)

Just like with the previous card, I arranged my design using cut-out elements, but also added flowers I made from colour cardstock:

Which one do you like more? :)

Here's what I used:
Double-sided Paper Collection Set Mechanical Illusions - Punched Card
Double-sided Paper Collection Set Mechanical Illusions - Mechanical Illusions
Epoxy Stickers Mechanical Illusions
Double-sided Paper Collection Set Mechanical Illusions - Time Wings
Double-sided Paper Collection Set Mechanical Illusions - Alternative Reality
Shabby ribbon, bordo, 10mm, 1m

See you!

Love is in the Air by Romy

Hi!

Birds of Paradise is still one of my favourite ScrapBerry's collections, so I couldn't resist making yet another card with these pretty papers. I love the fact that you can cut out so many wonderful elements from the papers and that's exactly what I did when making this card.

ScrapBerry's Supplies:
Birds of Paradise papers:
My Melody
Tropical
Plumes Tweet

Set polymer items Fairy Tale Birds

I first layered two recangles onto a piece of cardstock. After that, I cut out several birds, leaves and a feather from the papers and arranged them in the center of my card. I also cut out the sentiment "Love is in the air" and lifted it with a piece of cardboard. I finally embellished my card with two beautiful resin flowers.

Have a wonderful, crafty weekend!

Romantic Juliet Card

Hello everyone, and welcome to the blog :-)

Today I'd like to share a romantic card I made using my favourite Juliet collection:

I distressed pieces of papers and layered them in the bacgkround:

For the focal element I used the beautiful vintage rose image that correponds to the roses in the background:

But for the flower cluster I used cherry blossom and resin chrysanthemums in light violet which correspond to the matting paper. I also added vintage ribbon and a metal cage charm: it originally has a little bird inside, but I removed it as the charm would be too long otherwise:

I didn't use any sentiments for the card so that it can be used for many occasions :-)

I really like the soft romantic look of the Juliet papers! And what is your favourite ScrapBerry's collection?

See you soon!

Art of Nature Card by Romy

Hi!

It's Romy here today and I would like to show you a card I made with the gorgeous Art of the Nature collection. I really love the combination of pink, yellow, grey and green in these papers and the bird designs are so pretty too. I used these papers and some coordinating embellishments to create this love card.

ScrapBerry's Supplies:
The Art of Nature papers:
Fontainebleau
Tender
Pink Sky at Night
Cards 2

Other supplies:
Set of embellishments № 4 Fall in love
Set polymer items Fairy Tale. Birds

I cut out rectangles in different sizes from several sheets of paper, inked the edges and adhered them on top of each other. after that, I cut out a few rectangular shapes with a die set and used them to create the cluster in the middle of my card. I used the Cards 2 paper for the bird image. After that, I further embellished my card with two polymer birds and a button.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!

September Challenge: Kids!

Hello!
The summer vacation is over and that means it's time to go back to school for many children.
We figured this was a great reason to put our children in the spotlights in the September challenge.

September challenge:
Create a project about children. This can be any kind of project: a card, a layout, a tag, a mixed media item. You could think of making a card for a child's birthday, making a lay-out about your (grand)children or create a mini album with photos of when you were young. The possibilities are endless.

The challenge is open for everyone, as long as you use at least 50% of ScrapBerry's products. We will pick one lucky winner in the first week of September, who will receive a fabulous ScrapBerry's prize package.

Challenge Rules:
*The challenge is open to everyone.
*You have to use ScrapBerry's products on your project. You are allowed to use products from other manufacturers on your project as well, but at least 50% of your project should be ScrapBerry's.
*You are allowed to use your entry for our challenge in any other challenges on challenge blogs as well, but these should not be challenges run by other manufacturers than ScrapBerry's.
*Please submit your entries using the Link-up tool at the bottom of this post.
*The deadline for submitting your entries is September 30th 11:59 pm European Central Time.
*The winner will be announced in the first week of September.

Let's have a look at some beautiful inspirational projects.

Olga Kolov

Olga made this gorgeous canvas with our Wonderful Life collection. I think she captured the beachy feel very well in her canvas and makes it coordinate the adorable photo of the young boy perfectly.

Romy Veul

Romy made this happy and fun card with our Forest Friends collection. Don't you think this would be perfect for a birthday party of a child.

Yasmin made a little notebook for her son who just started school to practice his ABC's in. She used the "Forest Friends" collection to decorate the book and pencil.

Maja Nowak

Maja made these two adorable and pretty baby card with our Sweet Dreams collection. Don't you just love her fussy cutting?

We hope you will play along with us this month.
We can't wait to see your projects.

New Design Team Announcement

Yay, it's time for some BIG news today. We are announcing our brand new 2016/2017 Design Team.
First of all, we would like to thank everyone who applied for our design team call. It was a really tough decision to choose among so many amazing designers, but in the end we managed to do so. So without further ado, these are the 2016/2017 ScrapBerry's designers:

Irit Shalom
I am a working dentist, mom of 4 grown- ups, grandma of 2 adorable little people and one more on the way and a wife of a retired high police officer. I came back to crafting about 7 years ago when I became an empty nester and since then I became a part of this industry. Throughout the last five years I have designed for more than 40 different manufacturers. I have had publications in magazines all over the world and made a few covers of different magazines too. Since last year I am a CHA design section member as well. As I was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Israel in my teens, Russian is my mother tongue, Hebrew is a language that I use daily and English is my third language and I just hope that I am not going to make you laugh from my mistakes here and there. I am thrilled to make this team and this is a dream that just came true!

Aida Domisiewicz aka Ayeeda
I am a Polish scrapbooker, mixed media artist, designer, teacher and owner of 13 arts company. My biggest passion is creating with mediums, I love to experiment and search for original effects. I make mostly layouts, canvases, tags and cards, but I also love to create on bigger surfaces and alter home decorations.  My works are recognizable as a bit messy, reach in mediums and textures, layers and details.
I just love to create, and I am lucky that my passion became also my fulltime job, as I own 13 arts brand with products for scrapbookers with mixed media style. I have been a designer and guest designer for many designs teams in the past and I still design and cooperate with stores, kit clubs and challenge sites all over the world. I am happy to join Scrapberry’s Design Team as I love their products and often use  them during my classes.

Denise van Deventer
I started scrapbooking a number of years ago, but only really started seriously scrapping after my son was born, about 8 years ago. I am a South African, a devoted mother, a giving wife and a happy creator. I am a very happy scrapper and love creating layouts, as well as cards and altered projects. I am not sure if I have a particular style, probably somewhere between classic and shabby chic, but recently I have also done quite modern and I love mixed media pages as well. I love chipboard & embellishments and I am always keen to trying new things.

I am currently on the DT at BoBunny and I am also author and DT at Scrap Africa and DT at Berry71Bleu.

I am a very versatile scrapper and I create altered projects, cards and pages. I love anything paper and love trying my hand at a new idea. I think that is why papercrafting is such a passion for me, because it is ever evolving with new papers, new tools and new crazes! So whether it’s layouts, cards, mini albums, tags or altered projects, I enjoy them all and would be happy to create any of these.
I am delighted to be joining ScrapBerry's and I am so thankful for this wonderful opportunity.
You can find my blog here and I would love it if you popped over & said HI!

Anna Zaprzelska
My name is Anna Zaprzelska. I live in Poland with my family (my husband and one wonderful son).
I discovered scrapbooking in 2009, but did not scrap as consistently as now and never imagined that scrapbooking would become a passion, or that I would have a craft corner in my home dedicated to the hobby...
Now, every little things in my life are just an other reason to create. And, of course, my family has always been a great source of inspiration for me.
My style? Hmmmmm…. Layers, flowers and a lot of hand-cut elements:-) I like bright and warm colours, romantic design, flowers and embellishments.
I love to prepare home decorations, cards and scraps and use scrapbooking papers and other products to my other hobby, which is decoupage.
Maybe I’m a little shabby girl with a touch of vintage? I think so ;-)
Please, visit me at my blog here.

Solange Marques
Hi, my name is Solange Marques. I live in South of Brazil and I'm in love with scrapbooking since 2004. I have been married to John for over 32 years and we have five children and two grandchildren. They are always present in my creations.

I graduated in Architecture and Fine Arts (perhaps that explains my huge passion for paint and their constant presence in my projects. I worked in a bank as a jewelry appraiser for 27 years until last month and today I am retired and I can now create fulltime.

In scrapbook rojects I love mixing techniques, mainly involving paints and textures (watercolor, acrylic paint, modeling paste and a lot of mediums). I consider myself a mixed media artist and I love the artsy style!

Lydia Guijt
Hello! My name is Lydia Guijt and I am so excited to be part of this amazing Design Team.
I live in Houston Texas with my husband Peter of 25 years and my 2 wonderful grown-up kids.
I’ve been a scrapper for almost 10 years now but have always been crafty.
I don’t think I have a specific style. I try to let the paper speak to me and go from there.
Life is an adventure and deserves to be put on a scrapbook page. Can’t wait to share them with you!

Nicole Doiron
Hello!  I'm Nicole and I'm from Canada's beautiful East coast. I share my life and home with my boyfriend of 10 years, Yves, and our fur baby, Sugar the cat. I often sing in the shower and I have a quirky sense of humour.  I have always had an artistic side: drawing, writing poetry and trying on different crafts. I work at a regular office job and can't wait to get home every day to my studio! I started scrapbooking in 2004 and have been hooked since. I create mostly layouts, both single and double, as well as cards and canvases. I also make the occasional tag and altered object. I am loving mixed media more and more. My overall style is shabby chic with lots of flowers! I also love to get my hands dirty with different mediums like gesso, molding paste, mists and paints.

Rhonda van Ginkel
Crafty greetings to you from the United States. My name is Rhonda Van Ginkel and I live in the beautiful Twin Cities area in the state of MN. I am a loving wife to my husband Chuck, and a mom to our two beautiful young boys ages 8 and 7. My wonderful paper crafting journey began back in April of 2009 and haven't looked back.

I have always been drawn to creative arts whether it be drawing, painting, photography, sewing, quilting, writing or basically anything that is hands on. With the addition of mixed media products in recent years it is a constant learning, growing and evolving process as a designer.

What is my style? Classic, attention to trends and details but with an addition of my own twists! I adore anything that embraces a bit of imperfection and creates comfortable whimsy.

I am so very excited to join the ScrapBerry's Design Team! I have admired their beautiful vintage designs for quite some time.
