Season's Greetings Card by Rhonda

Hi ScrapBerry's fans!
Although it's still autumn in most parts of the world, some of our design team members are working on winter projects already. Why not? Our wintery papers are simply irresistible and can get you in the mood for something wintery with every temperature. Today we will show you a card made by Rhonda van Ginkel with our Winter Joy collection.

"It’s Rhonda here today to share my project with you. I have a vintage themed, romantic holiday card to share with you featuring the Winter Joy collection by ScrapBerry's. This collection has some wonderful vintage images as well as coordinating sentiment cut outs.

To begin, I selected an oval focal image from the “Postcards” paper and cut it out. I then selected my base paper to coordinate with the “Sprinkle of Snow”. After trimming to an A2 size, I used a distress die and cut the bottom right corner relief design. Added a piece of “Winter Garden” to peek from behind."

"Once I selected those elements, I cut several more die cut elements and layered them with the focal image. First, I cut a circular floral vine from “Ice Feathers”.  This is layered on top of a pinecone that was cut from “Winter Music”. As each piece was muted, I added touches of shimmer using my Wink of Stella clear glitter. To complete the framing for my image, I cut another circular flourish and layered it underneath.

The sentiment was trimmed from the “Cards” paper. Edges are inked, distressed a bit and then touched with a bit more Wink of Stella to add a hint of shimmer. I added a die cut deer peeking out and a sweet bow in White Wax String for interest."

"You’ll also see subtle snowflakes punched from vellum. One is accented with a coordinating white snowflake brad. The collages of embellishments in the right corner were the finishing touches."

ScrapBerry's Supply List:

Sprinkle of Snow

Hi ScrapBerry's fans!

Do you love vintage? Then we have a nice surprise for you today, because we will show you two wonderful vintage projects. Lydia made an amazingly gorgeous card with our Primavera collection and Irit outdid herself by creating the most amazing album with our Edge of Two collection.

Let's start off with Lydia's gorgoeus project.

"Lydia here today sharing a card with you I made with the gorgeous Primavera collection. This cards is suitable for many different occasions. I'm loving the rich colors and they just pop when you use lots of layers."

"On the Primavera Card 1 sheet you have a variety of cutouts to choose from and for this card I picked the peacock feather. Using the left over piece of paper, I ran it through the die-cut machine and made the leaves to keep in the same color scheme."

"The ScrapBerry's flowers are a perfect match.
To finish off the card I added the cute little Chipboard feather from the Birds of Paradise collection and some enamel Brads from the Fairy Tale collection.

I hope you got inspired!
Thank you for looking!"

The second project is this awesome and grungy looking album that Irit Shalom made. Just look at all the amazing details that she included on both the cover and the pages of the album.
Irit also included a tutorial, so you can exactly see step-by-step how she made this wonderful travel album.

"I am not a big fan of mini albums, but if I decide to make one it should be easy to make and fun to receive. So this album is one of this kind: really easy to make and a great gift for anyone who loves to travel and to scrapbook memories".

To make this lovely small album you should follow these steps:
1. Find some good chipboard pieces to make the base of the album. You could or instance recycle your old boxed or find some good cardboard pieces around. Cut two pieces into 16x12 cm size (6 1/2 x 4 1/2") and one spine piece into 16 x 3 cm (6 1/2 x 11 1/4"). Cut the cardstock a little larger, so that you have at least 1 cm to fold around the chipboards.
2. Use double sided tape and cover the chipboads as shown on the right top photo.
3. Cut another sheet of paper to cover the inner part of the cover (as seen on the left lower photo).
4. Cut another piece of chipboard in the same size as the narrow piece and cover it with another piece of paper (as seen on the lower right photo).

2. Make 5 folds of natural twine around the thin covered inner spine piece. Tie hte twine on the back of the piece and glue it over the cover inside, as shown.

3. Cut 5 pieces of different papers to make your album pages. Each piece should be 22 x 15 cm (8 3/4 x 5 3/4"). Then fold each of the pieces into half.
4. Use stitched rectangle dies to cut the second layer for some of your pages (top right photo).

5. Heat emboss some chipboard for the cover embellishment cluster using clear embossing ink and black embossing powder (lower left photo).
6. Colour some metal and polymer pieces with alcohol inks, as shown on the last photo here.
Not shown but also done are some ScrapBerry's white chipboard pieces (an hot-air balloon and arrows) that were painted with distress ink and covered with 3D glaze.
Stamp the camera with white pigmented ink and heat emboss with clear powder. Cut it out.

7. Die-cut the background layer for the cover and arrange all the embellishments as shown on the cover. Add the keyhole embossed chibboard on the spine.

Here you can see the close-ups of the cover.

8. Embellish all inner pages before they are inserted into the twine. Add some epoxy stickers, more stamped images, some die-cut pieces and leave the space for the future photos.

Here are several close-ups of the stamped images on some pages.

Getting crafty this weekend!

Today we would like to inspire you to get crafty this weekend by sharing a gorgeous project with you that was made by DT member Maja Nowak. She made this adorable pop-up box card with the lovely My Little Star collection.

ScrapBerry's Supply List:
My Little Star 12x12 Paper Collection
My Little Star 6x6 Paper Collection

"The My Little Star collection is just perfect for any baby project. Could those bunnies be any cuter? Apart from the beautiful papers in pastle colours, there are plenty of images to cut out that make any project so much easier to create. I wanted to use as many of them as possible for my baby card and so I decided to try and make a pop-up box card for the irst time. It wasn't as difficult as I was afraid it would be. In fact I enjoyed the process very much."

"I used both the 12x12" and the 6x6" papers to display the patterns best. I chose the imags to fit a card for a baby girl, but there are more to be used for a boys' card as well."

Masculine Cards by Yasmin

Hi ScrapBerry's fans!

Today we would like to show you two beautiful, masculine cards that were made by the awesome Yasmin Tölche. One of these cards was already shared at the beginning of this month for our challenge, but we will still share both because they make a great set. Let's have a look at what she created with our Edge of Town collection and matching embellishments.

"I've used the Egde of Town collection witch is perfect for those masculine, grungy cards. I added paper strips from the 6x6" Paper Pad and embellished with different Scrapberry's embellishments, like the translucent leaves, chipboard gears and that handsome moustache."

"Finishing this card, I splashed some paints on top just to give it an extra grungy look. Like you see, I love to layer my embellishements using twine, wire and staplors to underline the effect."

"Since I made my cards in a duo, I'll share my card made for the challenge with you as well. They are made from the same products. But instead of making a vertical card, I made a horizontal one this time."

"The same papers were used on this one as well. It is so easy to make two cards and to just use the left-over pieces of the first one"

ScrapBerry's Supply List:

"Egde of Town" 6x6" Paper Pack
Skeleton Leaves - Brown Natural
Cork Sticker - Auto Mechanic
Metal Trinkets

Thank you for stopping by today!

Lots of Shabby Chic Layers on 2 Gorgeous Cards

Hi ScrapBerry's fans!
We simply can't wait to share two gorgeous shabby chic projects with you that our design team made to show on our blog. Tracey Sabella worked magic with our Holiday Romance collection and made a gorgeous card with it. DT member Anna Zaprzelska also created an amazing shabby chic project, but she used a  more fresh colour combination from our Art of Nature collection.

Let's first have a look at Tracey's wonderful project.

"Hi everyone! It’s Tracey here to share a mixed media card featuring the gorgeous Holiday Romance Collection. My sister adores her two cats and this sweet image from the collection reminds me of her as a child, so I just had to use it to create a birthday card for her."

"ScrapBerry’s has such lovely flowers. For this cluster I included a mix of paper flowers, and flowers cut from the Mementos image sheet, resin flowers, a metal Rosebud Charm I painted with gesso then colored with mist and sanded to allow the metal to show through on the edges. The fussy cut images are inked to give them even more of a vintage feel and the paper flowers were lightly dry brushed with white gesso."

"Here’s the cluster from the top of the page. I also included a polymer flower from the Fairy Tale collection. I adore mixed media texture, so in diagonal corners I stenciled music notes with molding paste that I sprinkled with raspberry embossing powder and heat embossed."

"I couldn’t resist creating a double loop bow to flow across the bottom of the card using ScrapBerry’s luscious Silk Ribbon."

"Here’s a close up of the sweet girl and kitten image. Of course I just had to tuck in the Cat’s Best Friend Flair."

"The base layer is from the 6x6 Holiday Romance Paper Collection. I dry brushed it with gesso and added a bit of blue mist, then stamped with the ScrapBerry’s Butterflies stamp that has a lovely script image. The edges are inked in brown to add to a vintage feel. I scattered a few gems from my stash across this corner."
