Christmas Wall Hanging & Baby Cards

Today's blogpost will be one filled with lots of inspiration. We have five beautiful projects for you: Lydia Guijt is sharing a wonderful Christmas wall hanging that she made and Irit Shalom made three adorable baby cards.

Let's have a look at Lydia's gorgeous project first. She made this lovely wall hanging piece with the Once Upon a Winter collection.

"I started with a block of wood that I dry brushed with white heavy gesso. Once that was dry, I went over it with a mint green acrylic. Not being too thorough, leaving some white spots here and there. After this, I sanded some parts to create a weathered look."

"For the background I  used a die-cut that was the perfect size for a nice border and added a mat under it. I now had the basis for my winter scene. Time to start some fussy cutting. The boy and the girl are so cute. I used some sisal for the grass. I also added a polymer bench and flower decorations and painted them. I then tucked in a couple of chipboard snowflakes, so all in all it was a nicely layered project topped off with a nice silk ribbon bow. Everything was covered with a nice dollop of snow and it looks like our cute couple is strolling through the snow."

The second project is a set of wonderful baby cards made by Irit Shalom.

"Today I am going to share four easy cards for babies and the reason for making those cards is that I will be a grandma for the third time in a few days only. So as usual we never have pre made cards and sometimes we just need to make a couple in no time. With Scrapberry's wonderful My Little Star collection it's easy and affordable and you don't need to be a premium crafter to make lovely cards.
All these four cards were made in an hour!
Yes, I am not a new to card making. But even a new crafter can make a couple of those cards in one single hour. So this is the first pair and those are for a baby girl."

"I made the main image with paper piecing using the cover of this collection and 3D foam glue.
Everything else is just paper die cuts that can be made by hand."

"As you can see I added a bit of washi tape, some rhinestones and that is it. You don't need a card that is an artistic project. You just need a card that is flat to fit the envelope."

"Here I added a few small resin flowers and a nice ribbon bow in the corner."

"And now for the couple of baby boy cards:"

On both cards I added polymer clay baby embellishments and some twine. I also added dimension by using glaze on the papers.
