Two Beautiful Altered Items by Tracey & Aida

Today it's altered items day at ScrapBerry's. We will share two gorgeous altered projects with you that were made by DT members Tracey Sabella and Aida Domisiewicz. Prepare to be amazed!

Let's start off with the wonderful altered heart that Aida made with our Birds of Paradise collection.

"Today I want to share with you small wooden heart home decor. “Birds of Paradise” collection is just perfect to create something nice for your home."

"First I cut the paper in the shape of a heart, added some sisal, a bird and few resin flowers and a touch of mediums, just some gel medium and glass microbeads to create a little bit of texture. At the end I highlighted all the elements with some white gesso.

Tracey Sabella will amaze you with the gorgeous Christmas shadow box that she made. She has such a great eye for details and managed to turn this item into a stunning work of art.

"It’s Tracey here to share my latest project featuring ScrapBerry’s fabulous Winter Joy Collection. I just adore the vintage Christmas/winter images in this collection and used a few of them to create a holiday home decor shadowbox tray. "

I did a little fussy cutting for this top section from the image sheets in the collection. This darling girl is the star of this piece. Isn’t she so adorable?

I enjoy using things in ways other than for their original intent. The gorgeous blue piece has a sentiment that is hidden by the girl image - the scrollwork and detailed edges create such a gorgeous layer. I inked all the fussy cut and panel edges with coordinating ink to add to the vintage feel.

The Elegy stamp set worked beautifully with the Winter Joy collection. I stamped a flourish and corner in white and heat embossed for added texture. Since it’s a winter scene, I applied snow paste around the top of the paper and “snow” through a stencil then sprinkled with Twinkle Dust Glitter for iridescent, snowy shimmer.

I added coordinating bits and trinkets to the bottom trays. This one includes the “Noel” sentiment cut from the image sheet. I topped it with glittery snow and popped it up with foam tape atop a shimmery chipboard snowflake.

This sweet enameled snowflake cap is a coordinating embellishment from the Winter Joy Collection.

ScrapBerry’s has such fabulous flair buttons and this Merry Christmas sentiment is the perfect piece for this final tray section!

Christmas is just around the corner, so I hope you’ve been inspired to grab your ScrapBerry’s products to create a Christmas or winter scene for your home!
