Two Home Deco Items by Lydia and Maja

Hi ScrapBerry's fans!

Do you love home decoration? Then you will definitely love today's blogpost. We have two wonderful home deco items to show you: a gorgeous reversed canvas by Lydia Guijt and a wonderful picture frame made by Maja Nowak.

Let's have a look at Lydia's project first...

"Lydia here today, sharing a vintage themed reverse canvas with you. The canvas is 5x7 and I started of with using the ScrapBerry's Fairy Tale stamp and a Stazon Black ink to ink all the edges. Make sure your ink is completely dried before you continue."

"Then I used a stencil and paste for some further details on the edges to grunge it up. Once all this was dry I picked out my colors mist and colored it. Some green, some pink, some peach.
I looked through the Winter Joy papers to create my winter scene and fuzzy cut all the pieces I wanted to use.
On the background I gesso-ed some more snowflakes and started layering. For a vintage look I distressed the edges of the canvas."

"Once all the paper pieces were assembled I glued in all the bows I had made with seam-binding. A mushroom cut in half worked wonderfully as an decoration tucked in a corner with the title. Some art-stones and snow and sprinkles to finish off the decoration and we're ready for Christmas."

Maja Nowak altered our photo frame and made this gorgeous wall hanging item with it. Don't you just love how she used the Photo Archive collection?

"Today I’d like to share a decorated photo frame that I made using the ready made paper mache photo frame. This frame base is so easy to decorate in any style you want. It’s also sturdy enough to accept mixed media, if you use them."

"I chose the frame to be in a more masculine style and so I decided to use the Photo Archive small paper pad with a couple of embellishments."

"First I trimmed selected papers to fit the frame and then I decorated it with elements I cut out from the cut outs sheets – they make embellishing any project so easy!"

"I also added some accents with Photo Archive stamps and Around the World pearl shapes. The title metal plate, “Remember”, also comes from the latter collection."
