I must admit I rather seldom use navy blue in my projects. I happens occasionally with masculine projects, but I can't remember making a dark blue-based project. Until the ScrapBerry's released the Rhapsody In Blue collection and I made two birthday cards that I'd like to share with you today :-)
The first card features layered background with a die-cut sentiment, that I decorated with shabby ribbon, flower cluster with resin flowers and a flourish and a metal cameo charm.
For the other card I selected the polka dot paper for the background and added some intricate die-cut layers to balance the bold background.
I die-cut the sentiment from metallic silver cardstock and decorated it with flower ornaments that I hand-cut from the elements sheet. I also added some dimensional flowers and a metal charm:
I used the following supplies:
Double-sided paper 12"*12" 190 gsm, Rhapsody in Blue, Fleur Blue
Double-sided paper 12"*12" 190 gsm, Rhapsody in Blue, Blue Meadow
Double-sided paper 12"*12" 190 gsm, Rhapsody in Blue, True Blue
One-sided paper 12"*12" 190 gsm, Rhapsody in Blue, Cards 2
Cherry Blossom (10 piece set) White & Blue
Shabby ribbon, light blue, 10mm, 1m
Charms set Laurel Wreath 35*38mm
Which card is your favourite?
See you soon!
